NZXT RGB & Fan Controller V2 - good RGB / poor fan control
EDITED 240602 - I've added the following at the bottom of this post but am reprinting it here as it impacts my opinion / feedback of the NZXT RGB & Fan Controller! CAM is working in "PWM" Mode for the F120 "Core" fans (4-pin PWM) controlled by the pump and the F140 "Case" fans (3-pin) connected via the RGB & Fan Controller are in "DC" Mode.

Jul 20, 2023 · 1 month ago, i bought a H9 Elite and another 3 F120 RGB DUO Fans with RGB Controller. When the PC is running, a LED in the Controller is constantly on. When I turn off the PC it starts flashing All time. Especially when i want to sleep in a Dark room its really annoying. Can i somehow turn off this Light or can i fix the Problem why its flashing?

Mar 9, 2023 · You can think of the controller as a central hub for all of your fans otherwise you would need to connect every fan itself to the mobo for ARGB as well as PWM if the fan had it. The controller itself still needs to be plugged into the mobo so that you can control it through the software as well as into the PSU with what I assume is a SATA port.

Nov 25, 2023 · In your case, an NZXT RGB and Fan controller would be ideal. The Kraken gains fan control from the breakout PWM connector and RGB control from the included controller but for your other fans you need a controller for CAM. Fan packs come with RGB controllers as well but the stand alone one is better.

Dec 22, 2020 · The NZXT aRGB headers are the same as normal aRGB but they have a fourth pin added so that the controller can recognise which device is being plugged into the NZXT Controler defined by its resistance to ground. Therefore if you wanted to connect non NZXT aRGB devices to a NZXT controller you would have to fake the resistance on the fourth pin.
