There's the original PS4 version, as well as "Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade" for PS5 and PC, which includes a new story episode. Part 2 is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which covers the rest of the original game's disc 1. This just came out and is currently only on PS5. Presumably, part 3 will come out in a few years and cover discs 2 and 3.

Feb 26, 2024 · If they release a "full FF7" later then Remake really needs some fat trimming IMO I'm replaying it again before Rebirth releases and there are too many obvious places where they waste player's time to make Midgar feel longer than it should be.

A sequel is a story that takes place after the events of a previous story, continuing said story. Final Fantasy VII Remake does not do that. It's a retelling of the story, with some differences. Advent Children is a sequel. Remake and Rebirth are not. Making up a word ("Requel") does nothing to further your point.
